Mormon church leaders are whitewashers and liars. Quentin Cook said in the most recent conference that early church members were against slavery. He is whitewashing history. Look at these actual quotes from prophets.
Brigham Young called slavery "a divine institution"!
Look at how any Book of Mormon still today says that the Lamanites were cursed with a "skin of blackness!" (2 Nephi 5:21)
They need to apologize for gas lighting and for all of the horrible things the church has taught in the past. Stop pretending that church teachings were progressive! It's a disgusting lie! The church has always been behind on social progress and the way it has treated non-white members has been especially monstrous.
